Here's a method my groupmate told me how to look fresh despite spending the whole of previous night awake studying or doing project.
1) Stay up for the night to study
2) Sleep for at least 3 hours
3) Have a cup of coffee after waking up to perk up
4) Drink lots of water (as coffee is very dehydrating, you need water to balance the level of hydration, otherwise you will get sore throat).

Ok, will keep that in mind...

Gosh!!!! I'm dying out here....dying of boredom!!!! I've been staying at home for the past 3 days. Doing nothing except solving Sudoku puzzles.

Ok, some of my friends know that I adore (maybe to the point of love) online shopping. So, I'm going to share some LJshops which I usually buy from or keep a look out.

Top on my online shopping list is definitely BonitoChico.
Having three owners managing the LJshop is a good thing for the customers. Three different owners, so three different styles, meaning more variety of clothes and more launches. And not to mention, the prices are quite affordable and some are really good buys. The only complaint I have is the zippers they used for the clothes' side zips, totally not smooth at all..ARGH!!
Oh, they self-manufacture too, meaning the design, material used etc are supervised by them. WOOHOO!! EXCLUSIVITY!!

Next is TheVelvetDolls and TheTinselRack.
Hmmm, they are like sister LJshops since both owners are very familiar with each other. Sometimes, they carry the same clothes too.
What I like about them is that the owners do really know what types of clothes to bring in. They definitely do their selection carefully. Also, they self-manufacture, but not as much as BonitoChico.

Megagamie is another one on my list.
It also carries clothes that are quite similar to TVD and TTR, however the difference is the owner is quite an accomplished designer herself. So, there are more of self-manufactured clothes, and they are really pretty. The clothes range from dressy to causal.

Agneselle, Kristineyunny, The Scarlet Room are on my look-out list.
Agneselle, like BonitoChico, has self-manufactured clothes in every collection. But, I don't buy from them because their cutting is really small. More for girls of size UK4 to small UK8.
Kristineyunny carries office wears, and sometimes causal wears. Recently, it starts to self-manufacture too.
The Scarlet Room is a rather nice online shop. But I really don't like the way they modeled their clothes. The way the model sloughs make the clothes look really dull and lifeless. But I have seen reviews which the clothes look so much nicer with the model smiling.

Hmm, after I came back from Korea, I lost the motivation to blog.

So many things have happened for the past 2 months. Some good and some bad... not going to elaborate further.

I'm kinda envious of some of my uni friends. They went Korea for summer exchange!!!! I went there for 8 days, but they get to stay there for 6 weeks!!!
I want to go back to Korea again!!!!!

My mum just told me that she wants to go to Taiwan. I better start earning more income and save more money to prepare for it...

I met up so many times with Huisien for the past 2 months....kinda sick of her face now.... MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Just can't tell you guys how excited I am right now...
I'm leaving for Korea in less than 24 hours.
My first holiday with my parents, my first time being so far away from home and my first time taking a plane!!!
I'm going to take many photos of the beautiful scenery of Jeju Island, of the authentic Korean meals, and many many others...
Just typing out all these is making me even more excited :)

I'm one week into my holidays already. Just one week, and I feel that there is no purpose for my life. During the exam period, it was always going to Woodlands Library and study and study and study, from morning till night~~~
Now that the exams are over, I won't even want to step foot into Woodlands unless necessary.

At least I got one thing to keep myself busy, Korea trip!!!
I've got to pack 8 days' worth of luggage. I'm still thinking what I should wear for each day.
I'm also making a list of necessities that I got to bring for the trip, there are just so many things to take note and bring...
Leaving on next Monday, so dear friends who have shopping list for me, please send the list to me ASAP, will try to bring them back if I can find them :)

HELLO BLOGGIE!!!
Decided to update my blog before anybody complains about the lack of entry.
So for the past 2 weeks, I was having exams. Last week was really hectic, papers on every alternate days. So, it's like one paper down, gotta revise the next paper. It's all right, my exams are finishing soon. Last paper is on Friday, can't wait. Can't wait for the JB trip,Korea trip, shopping, singing, gatherings... I miss all of these while I was studying.

A few days ago, I saw this group which my my friend sent me an invitation to join. It's about the fight against child abuse. After I read the description of the group, I was like "OMG!!! Who on earth is so cruel to do such thing to the young, sweet, innocent children?!"

There was one in China where a mother poured boiling oil into the mouth of her daughter and many many other horrendous acts. Mind you, it's the biological mother who did all these, and also along with the other family members. This is totally crazy!!! This kind of people should be locked out indefinitely (the mother was locked up for only 7 years after she tortured her daughter to death).

Although sometimes children can be damn irritating and naughty (like my nephew and niece), this is not the way to discipline them.

Children can be really sweet angels, so sweet that all their past wrongdoings are all forgiven and forgotten.

SW3219 term paper is only at the introduction portion, I'm so dead for this module.
NM3880A project, haiz.. got to re-organize our theme and points again..

I just can't wait for the semester to end!!

OMG!!! Transformers is really the best movie I've ever watched!!!
Even after watching it zillion of times, I'll never be bored by it.
I just watched the movie on TV, and the excitement is still there, even though I know what's the ending.
I have watched the sequel yet. The file has been sitting on my laptop's desktop for about more than half a year, and I have not watched it yet.
Super want to watch it now, but first...

HAPPY BELATED CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!

I only got events for CNY only on the eve and the second day.
On the eve, it was the reunion dinner.
On the second day, my paternal relatives came to my house to 拜年.
For the rest of the days, I stayed at home with my "best friend", my laptop.
So what did I do with my "best friend"?
I finished watching Ella's newest drama, Down With Love (就想赖着你), within 3 days onlinw.
Even though this drama has just broadcasted in Taiwan, apparently the VCD version is already out and some people have uploaded the whole series online.
The concept of this drama is very "Cinderella". Poor girl meet rich boy. Poor girl and rich boys are enemies. Poor girl and rich boy fall in love and live happily ever after. Of course with some hiccups in between the process.

I really like how the drama flows. Maybe it is because this drama is all filmed and edited before release, very unlike dramas which are filmed and edited as the drama is broadcasting on TV. So, there is more time for the producers to edit the drama to flow smoothly.

One of the greatest surprises of this drama is Jerry Yan's acting. He totally transformed. As far as I remember, he always acted those roles which are very blue, very sad. It's kinda surprised to see him acting a lively and funny and cute character so well, never see him act like that before.

I've always like Ella, ever since she debuted as S.H.E. I also like her acting. Her crying scenes are always very touching, always make me cry too.

I added a new song to my playlist, the ending song of the drama. New song from S.H.E!!!

AND AND AND, I'M GOING FOR S.H.E CONCERT ON APRIL 17!!!
Going with Baofang, so glad I can go for their concert!!!

Ever since I've majored Communications and New Media, it taught me the importance of the new media and its relevancy and necessity to the world. At the same time, the downsides of technology and new media are slowly revealing itself to the world.
For example, the mobile phone. Recently, I received an email from a friend regarding the dangers of mobile phones. I don't mean the phones exploding. It's just how much information it can store.
You now how people really like to put their schedule everything into their phones. That's so dangerous. If anyone steals the phone, then that's it. Not only will you fluster around without your phone, the thief gets to know your every moves and they can stalk you. And if the thief is evil enough, he/she can just make a call to your home or parents or spouses to know more personal and private information like your ATM PIN number.
And you may ask, how do they get the numbers?
Come on, they are all stored in your mobile phone with very explicit names.

You see how dangerous technology is and how people can get around with it?

My New Media lecturers have been emphasizing the new and upcoming trend, Twitter, and it is very important for people going to the public relations. I really want to sign up for it, but I'm thinking "Do I have real use for it?".
I also wonder how much privacy I'm losing. Once I tweet, everybody knows.
This is also the reason why I seldom put shout-outs at my Facebook. Do you know just how many cyberstalkers hanging around the cyberspace watching at your shout-outs? It's kinda scary that these cyberstalkers can actually find you because your personal information is put up on your Facebook page.

I sound so paranoid here, but it's better to be safe than sorry when something happens.

I'm so into the drama, Pasta, now. I'm also in love with its soundtrack.

I know that Kyuhyun's voice is one of the best in Super Junior. It's so great to hear him singing such a nice, soothing song.

School has started. I have to travel to and fro Yishun and Clementi everyday again. How I wish the holidays are longer.
I've made more CNM friends in the first week, maybe because as the 2007 cohort is getting smaller due to the graduation of Poly-undergraduates, we just need to have the courage to make new friends so that we won't feel so alone.
Anyway, I'm so upset with the school. Till now, they have not approved my appeal for PR2202. It's nerve-wreaking to wait for the appeal result.

Even though school has started, I'm still very into online videos, especially Korean dramas.
I've just started on 3 new Korean dramas (new as in Korea is still broadcasting the dramas). They are "Stars Falling From the Sky", "Pasta" and "God of Study".

"Stars Falling From the Sky" is a very touching drama with a slight hint of comedy and romance.
"Pasta" is like the Korean remake of the movie, "No Reservations", but of course it's more in-depth.
"God of Study" is 100% confirmed Korean remake of the Japanese manga and drama, "Dragon Zakura", and of course, the plot is slightly changed to fit into Korean context.

My favourite is "Pasta", followed by "Stars" and lastly GOS. Maybe I've already watched the Japanese drama, I can practically guess where the drama is heading, so less element of surprise and so lower ranking.

For the past few days, I've been watching episodes of a Korean variety show, Star King. It's like "America Got Talent" except there is no competition.
There are some really impressive talents which are shown on the show. One of my favourites is the hand flute.
Totally impressive.

There are many impressive and unusual talents like there is this one episode that the fitness trainers for Girls' Generation came and taught the audience how to get the prefect leg size.

However, there are some that are totally nonsensical. For example, an old auntie dancing horribly to music. EWWW!!

I've just read today's newspapers. Apparently, many people were super excited that many Korean stars had come to Singapore for the Seoul'out Concert. It is very rare to have Kpop idols to come to Singapore, so many fans literally "camped" (as in waited) outside their hotels and followed them around. It's great to see that Singapore fans are so enthusiastic, but at least show some manners.

I got to watch this video through AllKPop.
It featured the magnae (youngest member) of FT Island whose hair was pulled by a Singapore fan while he was in his way back to the hotel. And he shot back an angry look and pointed to the inconsiderate fan. Then, the stupid fan laughed shrilly because she thought he noticed her. I think in his heart, he was thinking "WTF!! Crazy b*tch!!". I can see that the member was trying his best to keep his cool.
MY GOD!! Pulling the hair is really rude. Can you imagine a stranger suddenly pulls your hair while you are on the street? Even though he is a public figure, he still deserves some kind of personal space. In addition, hairstyle is the life of an artiste.
Thanks for disgracing the rest of the Singaporean fans..

They just released a new song. Maybe not totally new, the tune and rhythm is the same, but technically it's still something new.

For my past few posts, I've been bringing out Super Junior. Reason is I watched this very touching fan-made documentary on Super Junior on YouTube, from pre-debut to debut to the current achievements.
I think that Korea has one of the most competitive entertainment industry. There will be a new singer or group every few weeks. It's really tough to maintain their prominences among all these competitions.
In the past, I didn't really hold Super Junior in high regard, cause I thought they are just a passing fad, and there are just too many members. However, after watching the documentary, I was very touched, and at the same time felt pain for them.
All the Super Junior members are the same age or a few years older than me, but they have already gone through so much.
Like leaving their homes and parents to live in an unfamiliar environment with unfamiliar people, training for 4 to 6 years (at the same time, they were schooling too) before debuting.
If the same things were to happen to me, I will give up after 6 months and run back to my parents.

Although the subtitles cannot be properly seen sometimes, I would encourage all of you to watch all the 9 parts, especially part 3 on the major car accident that involved Super Junior.

For the past few days, my FaceBook status have been about YAB.
"YAB, pls dun end!!" etc etc.

So, what's YAB??

TAH DAH!!!!

It's the latest Korean drama I have been chasing for the past two month.

Its last episode was broadcast in Korea yesterday. I've just watched the Chinese-subbed version on Tudou.com.

The name of the drama is "You're Beautiful" or YAB for short.
Starring Jang Geng Suk, Park Shin Hye, Jung Yong Hwa and Lee Hong Ki.
Both Jang Geng Suk and Park Shin Hye are experienced artists even though they are young. And, Lee Hong Ki (from FT Island) was once a child-actor, and Jung Yong Hwa is a rookie (first-time) actor.

I'm super impressed by this drama. Besides having a nice array of actors in the drama, the music they used are great (the song I used in my music player is from the drama) and the plot is superb!! Apparently, the scriptwriters are the famous Hong sisters who have written scripts for many other successful dramas.

Reading the many comments and feedbacks from other websites (DramaBeans, AllKPop etc), the ratings (as in percentage viewers) for the drama is average, yet it managed to generate many interests and discussions online.

Reason for low rating is due to the competiton of another highly anticipated drama in another channel at the same timing, IRIS (which starred Big Bang's T.O.P.). Another reason is the Internet where we can easily view the drama anytime anywhere (so why must be stick to the TV at that particular time??). However, to generate so much online attention is definately a success. It's like a shop with online presence, it helped in generating international support.

Anyway, I really like the storyline, it's novel and interesting.
And, I have to say that Lee Hong Ki, besides a good vocalist for his band, he's one good actor too.
He got this scene which is so touching and managed to tear many viewers (as reported in many online feedbacks).

Go watch the drama to fully comprehend the scene.
To act out the crying and yet need to sing happily scene is really difficult, but Lee Hong Ki managed to do it. Great job!!

Definitely one of the Kdramas on my Top 10 list. I'm so gotta buy its boxset when it is released in Singapore.

Yesterday night was the worst night I've ever had.
I've been feeling ill since yesterday afternoon. Not sure which contaminated food I've eaten, but anyway, I vomited mt lunch and dinner at night.
I really hate the nauseous feeling, want to vomit but nothing come out. It's so terrible.
Even after vomiting, I still feel nauseous. Couldn't sleep until 5am in the morning.
Ok, got to get back to my studies. Haven't been studying since Tuesday, got to prepare for my last paper on next Wednesday.

4) Meet up with my Social Work pals.
5) Meet up with my New Media babes.
6) Attend Synne's birthday party.
7) Take the driving practical test.
8) Teach more tuition to earn money.
9) Plan for overseas trip.
10) Plan for Chirsstmas gathering.

As the holiday gets nearer, there will be even more stuffs added to my list.

Can't wait for the long-deserved holiday!!

But, it went berserk, and I got to change it.. :(

I'm glad that I found this new blogskin.
Spent about 1 hour doing the editing of HTML to fit in all my stuffs..

I have finished part 1 of the Social Work readings. The readings were horrible, I just don't understand how the lecturers chose the readings. Only few parts from the readings are relevant, like 10% relevant and the rest are bullshit.
I understand that the lecturers have full time jobs but then they still shouldn't just anyhow allocate readings. It's the quality that counts, not quantities.
It's a waste of money to buy the readings and so many trees are destroyed for the thick stack.
they should just pick out the relevant pages instead of the whole chapter.
Why made the students' life difficult?

Yea-lo!!!

I'm in a super hyper mood now, because tomorrow is my birthday celebration.

Hmm, thursday was my actual birthday but there was nothing much since the party is on saturday.

Hmm, Huixiang came to my house at 11.30pm and surprised with a bouquet of sunflowers. But, it came with a price, I got to help her edit her report. -_-"
And she stayed at my house till 12.30am.
In the morning, I got driving lesson. And when I reached home, I watched my YAB videos and edited some of my reports. After which I went for a facial. It has been a few months since I last did a facial, I felt so much pain throughout the facial. However, I got a consolation. The radio station that the shop is playing, played FT Island's song, Love Pain. I was so happy when I heard their song. After I went home and did even more projects.
And that was how I spent my birthday...

I was so glad today was the last day of school, all the projects (except one) are done and submitted. I felt so relieved.

WOAH!!!!

My blog is covered with layers of dust, I haven't been blogging for a month plus. I was so busy with projects and all. This semester was really hectic!! All because I took the research module. ARGHH!! The module is really taxing, because it's a non-examinable, there's assignments to hand in every week. Finish one assignment, another comes in, totally no time to take a rest.

But, I'M FREE NOW!!! Yesterday was the presentation for the research project. I thought that my group did a really great job and was one of the best presentations. Really thanks to Synne and Norma who made the presentation interesting.

Now that the taxing part is over, I can finally blog.

Wow!! I haven't been blogging for weeks..
I'm blogging today as I heard some really interesting stuffs today.
I went back to school today (as in Tuesday, I know it really past 12mn, but I'm still up) for project meeting. But, the meeting was a short one, so as not to make my trip back to NUS wasted, I stayed back to do revision in the Chinese Library with my 2 project mates.
One of my project mates is a guy. My friend and I have been suspecting if he's a gay because of his behaviors and relationships with girls (machiam like best friends). He turned out to be a straight guy.
Through probing, we realized that he broke up with his girlfriend 3 months ago.
This is the first time I know that girls can be as hard-hearted as guys.
Apparently, the girl initiated the break-up. And my guy friend cried in front of her, knelt down and hugged her legs to beg her to reconsider. But, the girl was still very determined in breaking up with him. And no matter what my friend did afterward, the girl still stood by her decision.
OMG!! A guy kneeling down and hugging her legs.. I think most girls will just reconsider to restart the relationship again (since most girls are soft-hearted). However, this particular girl just don't want to reconsider. This is the first time I've heard such thing. Usually what I heard is the guy who is hard-hearted and dumped the girlfriend, not the other way round.
In a relationship, it takes two hands to clap. From the point of coming together to the point of separation.
Although I'm sad for my friend as he is unwilling to break up, I think that he has contributed to the break up too. He himself admitted that he did not treat his girlfriend well, but he respected his girlfriend's decision.

Something's wrong with Blogger, but at least the the text box is still working right..

I haven't been blogging for like a month. School has resumed and it's the 5th week now. I have accumulated a small hill of readings and assignments. Gotta chiong them all during the recess week.
Nothing much happened since school resumed. Boring school life but with really good friends and people. And since I'm in the 3rd year now, the workload is also getting heavier, but I can still cope with it.

Recently, my mother installed the Star Cable TV, and I saw this interesting HK drama in Channel 55.

Synopsis

I like detective shows and dramas A LOT.
The drama started good, with strange cases and funny lovers' quarrels etc. I like the couple combination of Moses Chan and Gigi Lai. As an actress, Gigi Lai is super pretty. She's 37 this year, but her skin looks so flawless and she looks like about 25 years old. Totally envious.

The synopsis has this part about Gigi Lai going out with her boss which leads to the point of no return. It actually means she was killed by her boss. Her boyfriend, however, suffered from survivor's gulit because GiGi Lai has asked him to accompany her to visit her boss, but he refused because they were having some lovers' tiff.

I cried so much at this part, they were about to patch back at this point.

And the boss didn't need to go to jail as there was insufficient evidence. I totally hate the boss, totally psychotic. And, this was the point Moses Chan plotted for revenge.

From this part onwards, the boss and Moses Chan tried to outwit each other. Eventually, Moses Chan, even though he's a police offices,but obsessed by his revenge, killed the boss. However, he was seen by somebody and the story goes on a little more before the drama ends. Not going to go to continue as this part is a tad boring.

Anyway, there's this part I really don't like: After Gigi Lai died, Moses Chan drowned his sorrow by drinking. And then there was this one time, he got so drunk and had sex with his bosom friend, and this friend became pregnant. And they eventually got together at the end of the series. I totally hate this ending. WHY!!?? Shouldn't he like still can't get over his dead girlfriend?? How can he accept another girl so fast?? Haiz..

HAPPY 44th BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!!!

It's National Day again!! However, I did not have any National Day mood this year. I only felt the mood when I was watching the NDP telecast.

Hearing the familiar National Day songs made me miss school so much. I miss the primary and secondary school days when the whole school were so hyped up for the National Day. I still remember that every National Day, the whole school will gather in the school hall for the celebration, watching performance and singing along with the music. Not to forget, a very long speech, from a governmental board, recited by the principal before the whole celebration starts.
AHHH... those were the days.

Sadly, in university life, there's no longer such celebration whereby the whole school can gather together. It will be insane to put all uni students in one venue, there're just too many people. Maybe that's why I did not the mood this year.

And the Pledge Moment is the best part. I haven't said the Pledge for about 2 to 3 years, hearing it again made me feel so proud to be a Singaporean. I can't imagine years ago, I had recited the Pledge everyday during school assembly.

The time now is 12.14am. I wanted to go out now with the Royal Family for supper since SY got a car. But, thanks to my super uptight parents, I can't go out. They said it's late and girls shouldn't be out so late in the night. My father even compared me to my brothers, saying," Your brothers never do this type of things."
I didn't want to answer back coz it most probably will end up as an argument again. I don't like to talk and hang out with my father coz he is always complaining and scolding over small things.

What's wrong with going out at night? At least I'm going out with trusted girlfriends. And compare to the youngsters nowsaday, I am already considered overly well-behaved. I don't club, I don't smoke, I don't drink and I don't even hang out late (only occasionally), but even so, I always try to reach home before 12 midnight. Occasional late hangouts and drinkings are needed for my social life. Sometimes, my parents are so ridiculous.

Speaking of youngsters nowsaday, I am super pissed off by them. Seriously, they are incorrigible.
Only 13 years old, and they can challenge their friend's mother. No respect to elders at all.
Only 13 years old, and all the vulgarities, like fuck and CB, are coming out from their mouths.
I totally have no idea how the schools or families are disciplining them.

Sometimes, guys just don't understand girls, and vice versa.
Guys and girls have completely different mentalities, brain waves etc, we can never fully understand the opposite sex.
However, with observations, we can see the general idea and trends.
Books, such as "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus", are good if we want to know more.

But, some guys always think that girls' way of thinking is the same as theirs: simple and straightforward.
With pictorial jokes like below, they have shown that girls are different from guys and are much complex than guys.

It just made me so frustrated when guys think that girls are simple-minded, because this is gender steorotype.

Since when are girls simple? We are highly emotional human beings. Sometimes we empathise others (meaning putting ourselves into other people's shoes), and some girls are future orientated (which is why it's mostly the wivies who contral the finances of a family) etc etc.

And guys always like to ask this question:" Why girls are so complicated?"

The answer is complexity is part of our gene, we are born with it.

I haven't been blogging for some days. I got so much to blog about.

1) Shopping trips.
Ever since the special semester ended and the holidays started, I have been shopping a lot. Till the point that my mother was astonished to see me in new clothes everytime I'm going out.
Because I have the habit to snap photos of clothes I tried on in fitting rooms, I think I can even made a collage of the clothes I have tried.

Actually, I've made the collage. The photos consist of clothes which I just tried for fun and some which I already bought in the past. HEHE

2) Wisdom tooth extraction.
I did on Monday (20/07/2009). Actually, I went to the dental clinic on last Friday with SzeYee and wanted to do it. But, the fee was $790!!! All that amount just for removing a non-functionable tooth, and not to mention, to suffer all the agony after it.
The reason for the huge amount of fee is because my wisdom tooth is distoangularly impacted.

Distoangular impaction (6%) means the tooth is angled backward, towards the rear of the mouth.

Basically, it means the wisdom tooth, unlike normal teeth, is "sleeping" horizontally on the gum, but the good thing is the root of the wisdom tooth did not affect the other normal teeth.
Although Wikipedia said that distoangular impactions are the easiest to remove, it is totally UNTRUE. Because mine required a minor dental surgery.
A surgery because one, my wisdom tooth is not fully exposed and two, to remove my wisdom tooth, it needs to be break into pieces.
When the dentist told me this, the three words , "break into pieces", are enough to make me feel so scared of the extraction. Questions like "will I bleed to death after the surgery?" kept popping into my head.
To break the tooth into pieces, the surgery requires anesthetics to temporarily block the pain.
Considering the equipment and effort needed, that's why the dental fee is so expensive. But, luckily it can be claimed through CPF Medisave (only for dental surgeries, not for all types of wisdom tooth extraction).
As my CPF Medisave does not have adequate amount, I got to use my mother's, bring her down to the clinic on Monday to sign the CPF form in the clinic. And then I proceeded for the dental surgery.
After I lie on the chair, rinsed my mouth, the dentist said," I'm going to start by injecting the anesthetics in the gum around your wisdom tooth, you will feel some pain." And he started injecting. It's painful but bearable, and I lost count how many times did he inject. The aftereffect I should have after the injection is numbness, but the numbness is not as what I expected. I was worried if the amount of anesthetics is enough, I don't want to die from pain. But the dentist told me it was enough.
And so the surgery started, I forgot most of the procedure, but the most memorable one is the "break into pieces" part. The dentist told me," You will hear crack sounds as I'm breaking your tooth." And sure enough, I heard three loud crack sounds consecutively. SCARY!!!
And then is the sewing of my wound. I can feel the needle poking into my tongue.

The end of the surgery does not mean the end of the whole thing. There are aftereffects.
Of course I will experience pain. The dentist told me the numbness will be gone in three hours. But, I already felt the pain when I was on my way home, not even three hours yet. At that time, I really wanted to bang my head at a lamp post, it was so painful. It's like I'm under the Crucio curse (HAHA, an unforgivable spell from the Harry Potter series).
Then, the right side of my mouth started to swell and the swelling was visible. The swell will continue for about four to five days. So, right now, the swell is still visible. At least better than a few days ago.
And lastly, food. I can only eat soft food like porridge or soup based food. I eat in small bites as I can't really open my swollen mouth.
I'm going back to the clinic next Monday to remove the stitches.

3) NUSSU Travel Service
Recently, my friend became the Vice-President of this club and asked to me to join as Mareking Director. She norminated me and I decided to accept the post. Just want to spice up my Uni life and have more experience. Who knows, maybe this experience is useful in working life.

4) Priscilla's 21st Birthday Party
Priscilla's birthday party was in Somerset Service Apartment. The apartment was nice but there were too many people. When there are too many unknown people and too little space, the awakwadness is intense. However, Pris put in a lot of effort to make the party enjoyable and fun. There were door gift (a bottle of sweets), games (BINGO), video of her growing-up and lucky draw.

5) Public-tize my blog
I've decided to make my blog open to public again.
I privatized my blog because some asshole flamed me. But then, I pity those asshole.
GOT NOTHING BETTER TO DO THAN TO CRITICISE OTHER PEOPLE'S WAY OF LIVING. GET A LIFE, MAN!! (Reflect on yourself why you have no life, always cooping up at home, looking at the computer, blog-hopping to kpo on others.)
Anyway, this blog is for me to blog about matters that are of significance to me. Everybody has different appraoches to what "significance" means to them. If you don't agree with me, just leave the site.

6) I HATE HARD-SELL TACTICS
This s something which occured to me and SzeYee while we were shopping in AMK. I'm leaving this for the next post, got so much to talk about it.

I'm super happy today!!!
Becuase I found the jacket!!
Buying from a blogshop at $29.50. It's $10 cheaper than buying from the shop. Plus, the blogshop owner is delivering it because I'm buying two of it (one for me, the other for Huisien, she'll be paying me, I'm not treating her).
I was so excited when I knew that this blogshop is selling the jacket. Most of the blogshops are selling the cropped version which is not as nice as the normal version. The cropped one looks like a biker jacket and suits casual occasions more. But, the normal version suits both casual and formal occasions. Super happy.

For the past three days, I've been suffering under the agony of wisdom tooth. It ruined my mood for the past few days, totally don't feel like doing anything. I can't smile naturally as the pain is spreaded to the muscles on the right side of the mouth. PAINFUL!!!
Going to see a dentist tomorrow evening, after my tuition.

So sian!!! Didn't go out today. Because Transformers 2 is so hot that there are no more seats. Have to watch it some other day.
So, I spent my day watching my "Long Vacation" and some videos of SNSD (aka Girls' Generation) new song, Tell Me Your Wish (Genie).
I love their previous song, GEE. It is so addictive.

Colourful skinnies coupled with white graphic tees, quite nice looking.

Here's the actual story of the Semi-colon button:
In the morning, I was vacuuming my bedroom. After vacuuming the floor, I thought that I should vacuum my laptop since it's quite dirty. I've never clean the keyboard portion of my laptop before.
Unfortunately, a few seconds after I started vacuuming the keyboard, one of the buttons dropped. Luckily it is not suck into the vacuum, otherwise I'll have to look for the "baby" in the dustbag.
As my brother and I couldn't fix the button back, we decided to bring the laptop down to a new computer repair shop at my house downstairs.
The salesgirl/boss in the shop is crazy. At one look, it can be seen that the button can be fixed back but she told me," This kind of situation got no choice leh, must change the whole keyboard. $130."
Obviously, I didn't send my laptop for repair. $130!!! I might as well forgo the semi-colon key since I don't use it often.
Anyway, my brother fixed the button back for me already. Using his mechanical engineering knowledge and his nibble fingers. FOC!!!
Crazy repair shop which inflates prices to cheat customers' money.

I wanted to blog about today's spa session with SzeYee, but my shoulders are aching from the back massage. So, I'll blog about it tomorrow.

I'm watching the Japanese drama, Long Vacation, now. Super old drama (produced in 1996) starring Kimura Takuya. Watching it because I never really watch it. I only vaguely remember the first episode. And I know it 's a hit drama in Japan in 1996, so decided to watch it.

I've 2 things to blog about today.

Firstly, my JC classmate, Priscilla, invited me to her 21st Birthday Party. I don't really feel like going because the dress code is semi-formal. Anyway, the dress code is not important, what's important is the location. Her birthday party is at Somerset Grand Cairnhill. (WOW!!) She doesn't live in this condominium, she booked a serviced apartment in it. (WOW!! WOW!!)
I didn't know what the heck is "serviced apartment" and so I wiki-ed it. (I absolutely like Wikipedia, anything can be found in it. But too bad, can't use it for academic works.)

Now, the second thing...
I am reading this book called "The De-stress Diva's Guide to Life"
It's a nice book about thinking and living positively.
From the book, I learnt that "diet" is actually a negative word "that implies not being able to eat what you want. As most diets fail, the stress they cause literally makes you fatter." So, we should substitute "diet" with "healthy eating" which is a more positive word.
And also, don't read the newspapers as soon as you wake up. This is because newspapers always have detailed reports on accidents, casualties and any bad events going on around the world. As a New Media student, I can say this is very true as adversities sell (whether you like it or not) in the media industry. So, if you want to have a good day, don't read the newspapers the first thing in the morning. Whatever you do in the morning sets the mood for the rest of the day.

And I realize that my recent blog entries all have at least have one photo. Maybe I'll make it as my blog format.

If any of you notices, I've been doing collages very often, and they are usually done within minutes. That's because I'm using a really awesome software.

Introducing Photoscape...

There are a lot of things you could do with this program. It's like Photoshop without the designing component and much more easier to use.
Currently, I'm exploring how to better use the software in beautifying and enhancing photos.

I am having a very serious case of dark eye circles. I've stopped exercising for a week (due to exams) and been sleeping my ass off. But, I still feel sleepy. I really should start exercising again. Maybe exercising may improve my blood circulation and helps to get rid of the dark eye circles.

YIPEE!!! Special Semester is finally over!!! I had the exam yesterday morning and I'm glad that what I studied came out.
After my exam, I went to shop in Jurong Point for a while because I want to get this particular pair of Brikenstock as my slippers. But sadly, Jurong Point did not sell the particular colour that I want.
After which, I went home and wanted to rest for a while before meeting Huisien and Huixiang to plan the surprise birthday celebration for Lijuan. But, they wanted to meet earlier so I didn't get any rest. In the end, we still met at the same time because Huisien was so slow. We went to Orchard to buy the birthday cake first and proceeded to Bishan's Junction 8's Manhattan Fish Market to book seats. Daron joined us for the dinner too. And it was the first time LiJuan saw Daron.
By the time I reached home, I'm super tired but I still watched the Channel U airing of Boys Over Flowers. And I slept early last night at 12 midnight.
Anyway, I am super bored today. Did not go out at all, kept on sleeping. And I was so bored that I did another collage again.
Because Huisien did not send me the photos of LiJuan's birthday celebration yet, I used some old photos for the collage.

Itis for my presentation slides for NM3224. It's about product placement in Korean dramas, so I chose Samsung Anycall Haptic Pop which is always featured in Boys Over Flowers.
I cut the scenes personally from the drama, took about 1 hour just to load the videos and print screen-ed beautifully. Click to view in actual size, it's too small on my blog and do no justice to my hard work.
And it is because of this product placement, I wanted to get a touchscreen phone from Samsung too...

My NM3224 examination is next Saturday and I'LL BE FREED!!!!
But, I've been wasting the whole of today by watching dramas online.
I'm really captivated by the drama I'm currently watching.
It's a Japanese drama titled "Mr. Brain", acted by Takuya Kimura of SMAP. It's a mystery (detective) drama, my favourite drama genre even though sometimes I might be scared by the bloody murder scene.
My very first mystery drama that I watched was Kindaichi and I fell in love with it (even though the beginning of each file is a tad scary). Then I watched Tantei Gakuen Q, Hero, Galileo, Kinna and many more.
I'm really fascinated that the Japanese media industry can always come out with ridiculously good drama plots, especially for mystery dramas. I thought that the scriptwriters will one day run out of ideas. However, with the constant flow of Japanese mystery dramas, it was proven otherwise. And I hope that they continue to produce more of it then I would be bored by Singapore productions.

Woah!! I feel tired today which is super rare, I usually feel sleepy, not tired. That's because I reached home at 4am this morning.
I went out with Huisien, Huixiang and her boyfriend, Daron, for a night drive. We met at 9pm to go to Sembawang shopping Centre's Giant to get some food, to Tiffany's house at Admiralty to collect the money for the alumini dinner, to East Coast Park to get McFlurry and fries. Along the way to ECP, we saw a Malaysia car and a Singapore car racing along the expressay. And finally we reached our destination, Marina Barrage. By the time we reached there, it was already 12 midnight. We slacked around, felt the wind of the sea breeze and chit chatted until 1 plus, going to 2am.
After which, we intended to go to a location only known to Huixiang which is so scenic according to her. However, the location only open till 1am, so too bad, we could not see the view. Since we are near to Mount Faber, we decided to go up there to see some views. To go up the hill, there were so many turns, Huisien almost vomited.
After spending some time there, we made a last minute decision to go to Changi Village to see transvestites. The transvestites really look like real women, but they are really tall, and they all wear sexily.
After we went to Geylang to see prostitutes. We only managed to see one or two prostitutes due to the recent crackdown by the police in Geylang. But, we saw more transvestites and we also saw illegal gambling dens at back alleys.
After which we went home.
Really saw a lot of the unseens in Singapore yesterday. Really fun. If I obtain my driving licence, I will want to go for night drives frequently.

Monday blues...
Re-watched Transformers today since its sequel is coming out soon. Despite having watched the movies multiple times, I'm still enticed by the movie.
Anyway, I was really pissed off by this old uncle who lives around my neighborhood. I've been jogging for the past few days, and I've noticed that sometimes there would be a large quantity of bread thrown onto the green field next to the polyclinic. and these breads had attracted a large quantity of pigeons. Last Saturday, I saw this uncle throwing breads to the field to feed the pigeons.
CRAZY!!
During this period when people are paranoid of H1N1 virus and bird flu and many other diseases, how could he do that? It's like breeding potential disease carrier. Pigeon-feeding is illegal in Singapore too. Plus, there are many poor people in this world who do not have enough to eat, he could have use the bread in a better way by donoting the bread /money to charity. This uncle is so ridiculous.

BOYS OVER FLOWERS

Boys Over Flowers (also known as BOF, Boys Before Flowers and Kgotbado Namja) is the Korean remake of the super manga Japanese manga, Hana Yori Dango.

I knew of this drama since last year end when news of the Korean remake broke out. And my first thought was "HUH!? Another one?" After watching the Taiwanese and Japanese versions of the drama, I got so sick of the storyline. However, I still watched the first two episodes of the Korean version on MySoju.com. And my first impression was "WTF!! Totally like the Taiwanese and Japanese versions, storyline are the same and the guys don't look handsome at all." I felt that if I don't watch the Korean remake, I won't miss out anything since everything is the same. Therefore, I gave up watching that drama.
It was only until this year's Chinese New Year, nearing the end, that Huixiang told me that the guys are so good looking especially the guy who acts as JiHoo (aka Hanazawa Rui/ Xi Men), the second male lead of the show. I was like "Huh? The golden hair one? Good looking?? Are you sure??"
Unconvinced, I watched BOF on MySoju.com again. This time, I started with the latest episode (BOF was still airing in Korea at that time, so have to wait for episode and episode). And I saw this cute looking guy, I thought "Cute guy..which character is he acting as??"
It turned out that this cute looking guy is acting as JiHoo, just that he cut his hair short (so guys should have short hair).
So, for the sake of this cute guy, I watched BOF again. And I'm surprised by the drama production...

I'm really tired recently. I've spent the alternate days running and plans to continue doing so throughout my holidays.

It's not really a holiday since I'm having my Special Semester now. NM3224 - Culture Industries. I've attended the first lecture 2 days ago, the class size is quite small, only 29 students. But, it's quite fun since there are some familiar faces and the lecturer is quite "lame" too. But the project is HEAVY!!! 10 minutes of individual presentation (SHIT!!) on any topic (bigger SHIT!!). With no restriction, I feel so lost. For today's lecture, we drew lots for our sequence of presentations. I'm the last presenter, I don't know if that's good or bad. And because I'm taking this module alone, I actually spend time doing the readings.

I'm thinking of doing Johnny Entertainment and its domination of Japanese media industry. Not sure if it's feasible, got to ask my tutor or lecturer.

I had my first paper today, NM3215, 75MCQs. I almost felt asleep in the examination hall. The weather was so humid, the moment I stepped into the examination hall, I was greeted with cold gush of air, thanks to the super strong air conditioners. The air was so cool that my eyes were slowly dropping and I felt really sleepy. But, I quickly reminded myself that I'm taking an exam.

Anyway, recently, there's seems to be a trend of artists being catch by the police for various reasons. First, is the Hong Kong female singer (I don't know her name) for using drugs, then Taiwan's Da Bing, also for using drugs. In Japan, one of the SMAP's members (I forgot his name) got caught for indecent exposure. Then in Korea, Joo Ji Hoon, the make actor who got famous by acting as Prince Shin, the male lead, in "Goong", was also got caught for using drugs too, and along with some other Korean models. One of the models who was like the drug supplier, revealed more names of drug abusers, which includes even more celebrities, some even as famous as Joo Ji Hoon.

It's an American Cocker Spaniel. According to the Wikipedia, the American Cocker Spaniel breed is the ideal dog breed as it has an outgoing, friendly temperament. They tend to be soft dogs who do not do well with rough or harsh training. The breed ranks 20th in Stanley Coren's The Intelligence of Dogs, a rating that indicates good "Working or Obedience Intelligence", or trainability.
Sounds like a perfect dog, isn't it?
I got the first picture from a YouTube video of SS501's program, Thanks for Raising Me Up. In this program, SS501 has to live with the above dog for 6 weeks until the new owner comes.

Because the dog is an abandoned dog. :(

The dog is totally cute, and fun to play with. I don't understand how a person could abandon such a dog?
According to the program, the dog was found loitering around the streets before being picked up by an animal shelter. The dog was underweight and had mild ear ailment when found.
This is so sad.
Why get a dog when you can't take care of it? Even if you don't want the dog, can you find a better way than abandoning it? Give it to a responsible friend or to an animal shelter?
If I even get rich, has a big house, got the time and effort and overcome my fear of dogs, I would want to rear this breed of dog.
Think twice before getting a dog.

PRE-EXAM PERIOD!!!
Lots of readings to catch up!! I'm so LAST MINUTE!!
For the past few days, I've been actively revising my work.
But, today was a little different. Halfway through my revision, I suddenly felt so frustrated. Perhaps the readings are too much?? (I'm revising my social work module which has readings as thick as a dictionary)
I'm following a very strict schedule for my revision, maybe it's because of the fear that I can't reach my target and so I got frustrated? Most probably.
However, I've reached today's target (because the readings are repetitive, made me read the same things over and over again!!). So, here I am, ranting about some meaningless things..
I can't wait for the exam to finish!! There's so much I want to do after exam: going shopping with RF, hanging around with my besties, slacking at home, and most importantly sleeping as long as I want. I'm totally shagged now.
I haven't told my parents about the special semester I'm taking. SHIT..6 weeks of holiday gone.

It's been so long since I last blogged.
I have been busy with projects and presentations. I'm really glad that SW3201 has ended, and NM3215, NM2202 and NM3219 are ending soon. I'm so worried about GEK1525, I haven't even start on the report (SHIT!!).
I'm so worried over my schoolwork, my readings are piling up and there's so much to do!!
But, in my free time, I didn't revise, I was online searching videos to watch. Totally shit!!
I've watched the Korean version of Hana Yori Dango, or more commonly known as Meteor Garden. In Korea, it's called Boys Before Flowers, BBF in short.

For anyone who watched BBF, he had mid length hair at the beginning of the drama, after which he cut to this style in the later part of the drama. He looks much more handsome with shorter hair. Guys should really have short hair.
Hyun Joong is also a leader of a boy group, SS501. The moment I knew about this, I searched for their songs.

In this show, actors, actresses and singers are put together into make-believe (fake) couples by the producers of the show. And Hyun Joong paired up with another singer, HwangBo, to form as a couple. And the show will be filming how the couples get along every week.
Yea, I watched the show.
Hyun Joong is super funny in the show!! And he treated his other partner really good. But, because of BBF, the couple had to break-up.
And also from WGM, I got to know of this Korean girl group called Wonder Girls. I'm attracted to their songs. So dance-y!

This semester is so heavy. There're so many assignments and projects, it's like there's no time to rest, have to keep on rushing out everything.
But, I still managed to find a little bit of time to watch online videos. I've just finished a Korean drama "When It's At Night" in 5 days!!!
Lee Dong Gun starred in the show, he looked handsomely rugged in the drama. SHUAI!!
FYI, Lee Dong Gun also acted in Sweet 18 (新娘18岁).
He was once a singer. And I've just found a song, Salad Song sung by him and Yoon Eun Hye (The actress who acted in Goong). This song is super cute!! It's a promotional song for Samsung Zipel Refrigerator.

I haven't been updating for quite some time and I don't know what I was busy with.
School reopened but there's not much homework since tutorial classes have not start yet. And my timetable is quite slack for this semester but then I will be very busy on my free days too. I have 4 tuition students, and once projects start, I will be so busy that I can't even go out with my beloved RF and the 3 girls. I miss them so much...

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY to my godsis!!!! Her actual birthday is today, but she organized an early celebration since her birthday clashes with CNY eve.
And as her godsis and part of the RF, I definitely went for her birthday party.
And thanks to Melvin for driving the RF to Pasir Ris.
The birthday party was quite fun. Saw Josephine, Sylvester, Audrey and Carol, but didn't really talk to them as they don't seem to be participative towards us. We tried talking to them but they were not so responsive.
Anyway, the RF played Forfeit. It was so fun and funny. I was so lucky that I didn't kana the Joker card for that night. I really hope that Jasprit can send me the videos of all the forfeits the others had done.

I had my reunion dinner with my family and my maternal aunts and uncles at Pin Si Restaurant. It was a noisy one because there were performances in the restaurant to entertain all the diners. As usual, Pin Si's food were delicious, YUMMY.

b) CNY Day 1
I didn't do much in the day, don't need to go relatives' houses to bai nian since they will be all going to my brother's house the next day. So, I was at home. I spent about 2 hours doing my NM2202 readings but the readings were so dry, for that 2 hours I only managed to read about 3 pages. I fnally gave up after 2 hours, put on a facial mask and read Harry Potter book.
At night, my family had dinner at my brother's house. STEAMBOAT!! So long never eat steamboat, finally got to eat it again.

Hmm..another few more days to school reopens.
I'm currently chase-watching Gossip Girl.
For the past few months, I've been listening to people (girls actually) talking about how nice the drama Gossip Girl is. But, I don't really want to watch it then because it's an US English drama. Given the series of LOST and Heroes, I thought Gossip Girl is another never-ending drama.
Well actually, now that Gossip Girl has shown to Season 2, there's possibility of Season 3, 4, 5, .... So Gossip Girl may be another never-ending drama.
Nevertheless, Gossip Girl is SOOO NICEEE!! Everything in the drama makes sense to me. For example, if I'm watching LOST, I'll be thinking," What the heck is a polar bear hanging around in a jungle?". Gossip Girl don't give me this type of questions which is very good. I don't need to split my concentration and focus on the video and absorb whatever is said.
Also, Gossip Girl is like a storybook (although it is really adapted from a book), it is narrated from a blogger, Gossip Girl, point of view. And Gossip Girl's blog is called Gossip Girl of course. Her blog is all about gossips of Manhattan's East Side's elites, meaning super rich people, socialites etc, but mainly focussing on Blair and Serena.
But somehow, Gossip Girl seems to be everywhere, she can get so much information about the two of them for her blog.
Anyway, a drama based on a book based on an annoymous blogger on some well-known people, totally cool!!

I'm blogging now while waiting for my video (No Reservations) to load.
My holidays are dedicated to watching and rewatching movies online. And, I'm also doing a movie playlist with all the web links to the videos and movies.
There're just so many new movies for me to watch, but no one to watch with me. SIAN!!
Anyway, I went to the Countdown at the field opposite Khatib Station with RF and makan girls. Woohoo!! I was super high that day!!

This year's Christmas is miserable.
There's supposed to be a RF gathering today at Huifen's house, but SzeYee cannot make it. And it can't be postpone because both Huifen and Szeyee both can't make it. So, the RF gathering is cancelled.
I spent the Christmas eve, Christmas and Boxing Day at home. Not totally every minutes is at home, I went to tutor on Christmas Day. So, for 90 minutes, I was outside the house. Luckily, for 90 minutes of tutoring, the student was really cute so it kinda brought some fun to the fact that I'm actually working on public holiday.
Anyway, I changed the song on my blog. From NEWS - Happy Birthday to Michael Buble - Home. This song is nice, like it when I first heard it. And given the melody of the song, I can't believe it's actually sung by Michael Buble, I thought is sung by some pop singer. But, Michael Buble's rendition of the song is good.
I heard "Home" from the movie, The Wedding Date. As usual, I spent my free time watching online videos. On Christmas night, I tried to watch The Wedding Date. But, it's loading extremely slow and the subtitles sucks. I watched the movie before and sort of remember that the movie is funny and wanted to re-watch, but who knows the loading is so slow. So, I went to rent its DVD. Gotta watch it later.

I just realized that I actually didn't finish the post on my birthday. And Jasprit, I want the photos from my birthday and the others from other Royal Family outings..
Since the holidays started, I have been spending a lot of time with SzeYee and Jasprit shopping. We are going to conquer all the shopping centres in Singapore!! Hahaha!!
I went for chicken pox injection yesterday. I'm the only one in the family who has not contracted chicken pox. My mother is worried that I might get chicken pox anytime which is bad because MC for chicken pox is 1 to 3 weeks and this will definitely affect my studies (if I contract it during school days). And most importantly, chicken pox scars take longer time to heal when contracted at an older age, so to prevent disfiguration, my mother wanted me to take this injection. And so, I went to the polyclinic.
For adults, there are 2 chicken pox injections. So after 1 month, I need to go back to the polyclinic again.
Anyway, I have the 1st injection on my left arm yesterday. And my left arm felt painful since then. But, today is better than yesterday, not that painful. Yesterday, I can feel the pain flowing in the bloodstream through my entire left hand. Today, the pain is only isolated in my upper left arm.
I don't like uploading photos onto my blog, it takes a long time to arrange the photos. But, I'm only grumbling, I will still continue uploading photos.

I have not been blogging regularly since holidays started because I was busy indulging myself with Project Runway. It's the best reality show with lots of catfights, and Heidi Klum, the host, looks so beautiful, even when she's pregnant.
